Ashok is the co-founder of Abhiyan Marketing Services Pvt Ltd., a company that completed 25 years of excellence in advertising and marketing. He's the content editor of his blog, Insights and has written more than 100+ articles till date.
He has authored articles for different magazines and newspapers ranging from marketing, advertising, automotive, healthcare, e-governance, visa processing and writes reviews for blogs of leading Indian manufacturing, home improvement and servicing companies.
Ashok�s ventures help its clients with digital insights, strategy, branding, lead generation and customer acquisition. It has serviced 21 of the world�s leading brands across 15 industries � Insurance, FMCG, Liquor; Personal Finance; Contact Lenses; Automotive; Healthcare; Engineering; Fashion; Lighting; Furnishings; Cigarettes; Publishing; BPO; Trade Promotion Organisations; and Motor Oils.
Ashok also writes for digital marketing resources created for Abhiyan's content library.
After doing journalism from Times Centre for Media Studies in 1988, he interened at the sports desk and worked as a sub-editor at the business desk of The Times of India, world's largest English daily from India.
He also edited and published single handedly The Media Times, an advertising and marketing magazine from The Times of India Group, in the year 1990-92.
Ashok then moved to the marketing services cell of the company, which assisted Times of India's ad sales department with research and readership survey data to sell better. He headed the cell for 3 years and assisted the management with MIS and competitor information in the print advertising industry both in terms of value and volume of ads in competing publications.
He also worked in the ad sales department of The Times of India's print publications division before starting his own venture in 1994, called Abhiyan, which is a Hindi word for 'A Campaign' in English.
He headed Abhiyan's creative department and serviced 21 of the worlds largest brands. He also co-founded Ebony & Ivory in 1995, an advertising agency, accredited with The Indian Newspaper Society (INS). He spearheaded the agency's marketing division, which was primarily into creating and releasing of advertisements in newspapers, magazines and radio.
He also founded Full Throttle, an automotive website and edited India's first automotive e-magazine, which had a content collaboration with Forbes Autos, an automotive publication of Forbes magazine.
